Taylor Swift knows how to remain in news even without any tour or upcoming music video. Speculations were strong that Swift wrote former boyfriend, DJ Calvin Harris's, recent chart buster This Is What You Came For. As confirmed by Swift's representative and Harris himself, 'Nils Sjoberg' credited in the latest video featuring Rihanna, is the pseudonym of Swift and the popstar has even given a bit of vocals.
The secret came out in the open when Swift's representative confirmed the news to a magazine and Harris quoted the magazine in a tweet. However the confirmation turned into a twitter rant as Harris claimed that Swift only unveiled the secret to "tear her ex bf down" and she just needed "someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] etc."
For the uninitiated, Swift and Harris dated for over an year, before Taylor started her romance tour with actor Tom Hiddleston. While many speculated that Harris was 'okay' with her moving on, the recent outburst suggests something else.
Calvin started with:
I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym— Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris) July 13, 2016
But then expressed his displeasure saying,
Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though — Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris) July 13, 2016
Then he turned the tables on Swift, asking her to be happy with the new person (Tom Hiddleston) in her life.
I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do— Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris) July 13, 2016
Then he confirmed the Bad Blood between her and Katy Perry!
I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it— Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris) July 13, 2016
After much slamming, Harris topped it all with a little kindness and asked her to mind her own business in a more subtle way.
Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you've earned a great one— Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris) July 13, 2016
Looks like Harris didn't approve of Swift reveling their secret collaboration to the world. Let's see what the popstar has to say about this (now viral) thought of Harris.
While we are at it, this is the song everybody is talking about right now:
