Los Angeles: 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' actress Elizabeth Olsen says Hollywood stars Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett inspired her to go naked in films.
"I remember watching 'Holy Smoke' and thinking that it was so reassuring to see a young Kate doing something that was so bold in so many ways," Olsen told Net-A-Porter's The EDIT magazine, reports eonline.com.
"I thought to myself, 'OK, so it doesn't destroy your career if you appear nude or take risks.' Not everyone in my family and group of friends thought it was the best idea to be naked in a movie."
"There are actresses, young and old, who have decided never to do that, and they become these examples people talk to you about," she added.
Though Olsen doesn't want to be a cautionary tale for other young actresses, she likes nude scenes.
"You want that voyeuristic quality, but I never feel I have to be nude. You won't ever see me in a beauty shot in a bikini on a beach. That's a character I will never play," she said.
After a string of successful indies, Olsen has gone mainstream in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', which released in India on April 24.
She plays Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, who has supernatural abilities in the film, which also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle and Aaron Taylor-Johnson among others.
