As the nominations for the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards were announced, Netflix's The Crown and Disney+'s The Mandalorian tied with the most nominations.

The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards have been unveiled by the Television Academy in a virtual ceremony hosted by actor Ron Cephas Jones and his daughter Jasmine Cephas Jones. Netflix’s The Crown and Disney+’s The Mandalorian tied with the most nominations - 24 each. The Academy took into consideration that they were seeking to honour a TV season that took place amidst the global pandemic.

The Crown, in its fourth season, has been nominated in the Outstanding Drama Series category, with fellow previous nominee The Mandalorian as well as fellow Netflix buzz title Bridgerton along with The Boys, previous winner The Handmaid’s Tale from Hulu, HBO’s Lovecraft Country which made news when it was not renewed for a second season, and previous noms Pose from FX and NBC’s This Is Us.

Following is a list of nominees in key categories. The awards will be handed out in Los Angeles on September 19 in a ceremony hosted by Cedric the Entertainer.
