Actress Shilpa Shinde recently said that she is planning to quit her new show Gangs of Filmistan as she had told producers she did not want to perform with Sunil Grover. The actress had said that her role looks like a "prop" in comparison to the comedian.
Now, producer Preeti Simones has replied to the reports and said that the actress never talked about this issue with them. Talking to Spotboye, Preeti said that Shilpa had a few reservations while shooting the promo which was cleared up by the producer. She said that Shilpa and comedian Sidharth Sagar were the first ones to sign the show, and the producers later cast Sunil as someone of his stature was important for the show.
“I told her creatively how we are going to be doing this show and shooting. She was very much okay about it and she was very happy. She dealt with the rest of the cast very well. Shilpa and Sunil are very cordial with each other. We mail scripts two days in advance so if there was any apprehension she could have brought it up but she never told me that she doesn’t want to perform with Sunil Grover or her lines were less as compared to other actors," Preeti said.
She further said that Shilpa's reaction was "premature" as she hasn't seen the show. She said that the show was a live set-up and there is no favouritism in it. She said that Shilpa's behavior while shooting the show never showed that she had any problems with the show. She said that the fans will be happy to see her on the show, as it does justice to an actor of her calibre.
