The festival of Holi has always been an integral part of Bollywood films as the filmmakers find it a perfect fit in the traditional style of storytelling.

Sometimes, the writers have used Holi as a budding ground of romance and sometimes it is used as a battleground.

In 'Sholay', the group of goons led by Gabbar Singh attacks Thakur's village right after the Holi song while in Jai Jai Shiv Shankar (Aap Ki Kasam), Rajesh Khanna uses the situation to display his fun side.

Who can forget Rang barse or Aaj na chodenge bas humjoli as these are the songs which have made this festival memorable in the minds of the common people.

Here is a playlist to remind you of the tradition of Holi songs in Bollywood films. Get the speakers out and start grooving while painting the entire surrounding in multiple colors!
