Just when you think Kamaal R Khan has been silent for a while, the man comes up with something new. This time, the self-claimed critic, decided to insult the popular Malayalam actor Mohanlal ahead of his film The Mahabharata.

KRK took a dig at Mohanlal and compared him to Chota Bheem. "Sir @Mohanlal you look like Chota Bheem so then how will u play role of Bheem in Mahabharata? Why do you want to waste money of B R shetty?," he wrote on Twitter.

Soon after his tweet, the Twitter users - specifically the Malayalam community, began criticising KRK.

Some asked him to mind his own business, others labelled his antics as publicity stunts. Quite interestingly, even Mammootty fans have come out in support of Mohanlal, keeping aside their respective fan groups' differences.

A UAE-based Indian businessman is reportedly investing Rs 1,000 crore to produce India's biggest ever motion picture, The Mahabharata. Directed by VA Shrikumar Menon, the magnum opus will feature Mohanlal as Bhima.

"I feel honored that my name has been heard for the role of Bhima ever since the news of a cinematic adaptation of MT Vasudevan Nair's Randamoozham started doing rounds. I feel humbled and honored at the same time that the author himself has envisioned me for enacting Bhima," said Mohanlal in an official statement.
