After three years of hard work, speculations, rifts and emotional journey, Ranbir Kapoor's maiden production venture Jagga Jasoos has finally released. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film stars Kapoor alongside Katrina Kaif and tells a story of a detective who is in search of his 'dead' father.
The film has been co-produced by Disney and is a musical with nearly 30 songs. Pritam has composed the score for the film, promising a different experience of musical narrative altogether. Going by the teasers, posters, and trailers released by the makers, the film is completely relying on a stammering Ranbir's antics, his expressions and of course a beautiful companion in his journey, Katrina. From the looks, one can easily understand the audience for which the film has been made.
The chemistry between the lead pair gives out the feels of Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani and the treatment feels similar to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events.
Will Anurag Basu be able to recreate Barfi magic with Ranbir once again? Will the film pay for the years of hard work put in by the team? Will the film be the perfect Disney Musical we've been waiting for? Sameeksha from News18 is inside the theater to find out.
