Often friendships between actresses, singers or models are subjected to sensationalised media attention despite their love and support for each other. A similar sisterhood between Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift has come a long way, both singers have been friends for more than a decade. Usually, the duo keeps their bond private and away from public eye, but recently Selena Gomez displayed her affection for her bestie on Instagram.
On Monday, the ‘Come And Get It’ singer couldn’t bottle up her feelings for the ‘Love Story’ singer and took to Instagram where she posted never been seen before pictures of the two. The rare pictures were a treat for ‘Taylena’ fans who have been shipping the power packed duo since they starred together in the hit music video ‘Bad Blood.’
“Kinda missing this one,” wrote Gomez with pictures featuring her with Swift and her cat Benjamin Button. In the photos, both the stars can be seen lazing around in their pajamas snuggling with the fur ball.
Gomez is taking selfies posing in black T-shirt and matching pants paired with white sneakers while Swift is rocking a grey T-shirt dress with socks holding Benjamin in her arms.
The adorable pictures have been liked over 6 million times, and gathered more than 50,000 comments with fans going ‘gaga’ over the pictures.
The official Instagram handle of MTV wrote, “I JUST DROPPED MY PHONE,” and Entertainment Tonight wrote, “This is us trying to stay calm.” Multiple fans commented “Taylena Supremecy” and requested them to make music together.
Many users wrote their friendship is ‘Friendship goals’ while many commented they love the duo’s friendship and asked for a reunion.
Gomez and Swift haven’t made many public appearances together and now, the global pandemic has made it more difficult for people to meet with their friends forcing everyone inside. While Gomez has been in New York City for the last few months shooting for the comedy series, Only Murders in the Building, Swift was last spotted in Los Angeles at the Grammys where she won ‘Album of The Year’ for Folklore.
