Festivals are cherished all over the world, in the event of happiness...Bollywood adds to our celebration. So, here is a list of the movies that made Eid even more special for all the fans.

Owing to the years of Bollywood, we now 'breathe' in - the movies, the actors and the music. It is the fan following that makes these movies successful. It's a give and take relationship, where the filmmakers and actors give their best to entertain the public and in return, the fans motivate them to produce amazing movies.

Festivals are cherished all over the world, and on such auspicious occasions too Bollywood adds to the celebration. Here's a lowdown of the movies that set the cash registers ringing on Eid.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001)

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is sure to be remembered by a 90s kid as one of the most emotional family drama movies. With a fancy star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor, the movie had enthralled audiences all over the world. Karan Johar's creation, resulted in a happy earning of about 117 crore.

Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)

Bagging numerous awards, Kal Ho Naa Ho was another masterpiece by Karan Johar. The cast of this romantic comedy was enough for people to love it. The movie got attached to people's hearts as they felt Shahrukh Khan's pain in the movie. With its huge success, Kal Ho Naa Ho earned about 130 crore.

Veer-Zaara (2004)

With the setting of Indo-Pak conflict, Veer-Zaara is a love story across borders which channels its way straight to people's hearts.. "Woh kehte hain yeh mera des nahin , Phir kyon mere des jaisa lagta hai? Woh kehte hai main us jaisa nahin, Phir kyon mujh jaisa woh lagta hai? "..this dialogue from the movie evoked a lot of emotions in the viewers. Pocketing about 94 crore, the movie was a hit.

Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006)

Farhan Akhtar’s crafty mind let him make the remake of an Amitabh Bachchan classic, that proved quite successful. His attempt to give a taste of the classical Don to the new generation took the movie in the limelight. Earning a handsome amount of about 105 crore, the movie thrilled us.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007)

The Akshay Kumar-Vidya ­Balan starrer was action hero Akki’s first’s Eid release. With the super suspense, Bhool ­Bhulaiyaa was sure to be a housefull. Shiney Ahuja certainly shined in this movie and so did Akshay Kumar. But a brilliant performance by Vidya Balan made it a huge success, winning about 84 crore at the box office. The genre of the movie is true to its title; a psychological comedy horror.

Wanted (2009)

Another film that featured Salman as 'Radhe' was Wanted that came out in 2009. It included a series of top notch action sequences, where 'Radhe' was portrayed as an anti-hero in the starting to be later revealed as the real hero. He is shown as a responsible officer who gives priority to his Nation above anything else, even if it his charming girlfriend 'Jhanvi' (Ayesha Takia). Defeating the corrupts and serving his duty well, the audience rejoiced his valour. Salman's stardom was proved at the box office when the movie bagged a sum of 136 crore.

Dabangg (2010)

'Inspector Chulbul Panday' in Dabangg was one of the few times when the viewers loved somebody in a police's uniform. His strong build and amusingly-classy personality proved to be a treat for the viewers. Dabangg, released in 2010, served as a turning point in Salman's career with prospective earnings of about 215 crore. The audience went head-over-heels for 'Panday Ji' who spilt his charisma with his walk, his actions, his dance moves and powerful dialogues in the film.

Bodyguard (2011)

"Bodyguard Lovely Singh reporting Madam", marked Salman's starring in Bodyguard in the year 2011. He is shown as a respectful bodyguard who has been appointed for 'Divya' (Kareena Kapoor). He falls in love with a girl he has never met, unaware that she is none other than Divya. As the plot unveils, the viewers celebrate the happy ending and this adds to another of Sallu Bhai's hits in the list, with a box office collection of 230 crore.

Ekk Tha Tiger (2012)

Salman is shown as a RAW agent 'Tiger' who is sent on a secret mission to observe an Indian scientist who is suspected of sharing nuclear secrets with the ISI. He meets 'Zoya' (Katrina Kaif) and falls for her. It is heart throbbing when her dark secret comes to light and 'Tiger' gets his heartbroken. Ekk Tha Tiger, made its way to the theatres in 2012 ticketing a sum of about 320 crore. Its ear-soothing music, good storyline and 'Tiger's magic made it a hit, giving Salman's fans yet another piece of the pie to relish on.

Chennai Express(2013)

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone had the chance to take over Eid celebrations in 2013, with Rohit Shetty’s action-comedy film, Chennai Express. Achieving a box office collection of 422crore, itself speaks volumes about its success.

Kick (2014)

Salman's appearance as 'Devi Lal Singh' aka 'DEVIL' filled the viewers with much interest and surprise. With Salman's energy and positivity,Kick became a successful hit with a collection of 377crore. Some dialogues from the film still linger in our minds, "Mere bare mein itna mat sochna ... dil mein aata hoon ... samajh mein nahi" and "Woh jeena bhi koi jeena hai jis mein kick na ho!"

Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)

'Bajrangi' came as the innocent Hanuman devotee in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, who won sympathy from the audience when he was brutally beaten up by the cops. His emotional acting could literally bring shivers down ones' body. The climax of the story backed up by Sallu Mia's 'tadkas' keep one engaged till the end. Sallu's magic made the movie grab an amount of about 606 crore at the Box Office.
