Lion star Sunny Pawar has become the darling of foreign media and Hollywood actors alike this awards season. The 8 year old has been strutting his stuff on the red carpet and despite limited knowledge of English language, winning hearts with his infectious smile and confidence.
On Sunday night, as the best of Hollywood came to celebrate cinema at the glittering Oscar ceremony, many were seen interacting and posing with the little star on the red carpet.
From Andrew Garfield to Samuel L Jackson to Nicole Scherzinger all seem to be fans of the little guy.
But the coolest was when Sunny gave an interview of sorts to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet and spoke both in Hindi and English and stated how he ‘enjoyed the music’ during his recent outing at the Grammys.
He even got a warm hug from Chrissy Teigen on the red carpet.
Later during the ceremony, host Jimmy Kimmel had a Lion King moment and Sunny’s co-star Dev Patel appeared the happiest on witnessing the love he was getting.
Earlier, during the Golden Globes, Dev Patel and shared the stage with Sunny as the two had presented their film Lion on stage. The loudest cheers came for Sunny as he spoke his rehearsed lines on the stage to loud cheering.
