Actress Rhea Chakraborty will be in jail till October 6, a court in Mumbai said today as her judicial custody extended for another two weeks. She and her brother Showik Chakraborty have requested bail from the Bombay High Court, which will take it up tomorrow. Rhea was arrested on September 8 on drug charges linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput death investigation. Meanwhile, Sushant's former talent manager Jaya Saha, in her questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), reportedly admitted to having chats over drugs with top actors in Bollywood. Jaya is an employee of KWAN Talent Management Agency, which manages several Bollywood bigwigs. Jaya is also being questioned based on her chats with Sushant's purported girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.
Jaya Saha and Sushant's former manager Shruti Modi have been summoned again on Wednesday by NCB. Shruti was asked to go for a Covid-19 test as a precautionary measure, since an NCB official had tested positive. Her report came out negative. She will join the investigation tomorrow. Celebrity manager Karishma Prakash has said through her lawyers that she is unwell and can't join the probe. The NCB had summoned Karishma Prakash and KWAN talent management agency's CEO Dhurv Chitgopekar in connection with its probe into the alleged Bollywood-drug nexus.
