The world is still reeling from the bombshell interview of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with Oprah Winfrey. And Harry’s admission to watching The Crown, which is a dramatised version of the inner workings of the royal family, has got actress Vanessa Kirby quite a bit flabbergasted.
In its recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host asked British actress if she had watched the latest Oprah interview with Meghan and Harry, to which she responded that she is yet to watch it. Jimmy then informed Vanessa that even though she may have not watched the interview, Harry and Meghan have admitted to having watched some of The Crown. Vanessa played Princess Margaret in the first two seasons of the Netflix drama.
Vanessa was quite overwhelmed with this revelation and said that it is “quite mad” to think that they have actually seen it. She further said that it is something that one sort of always semi-imagine, but sort of thought, oh, they are probably too busy to watch it. Bur Jimmy responded in a witty manner and told Vanessa that the British Royals do not have anything to do so they probably do watch it. He further said that if somebody made a television drama about his grandparents then he would definitely watch it. Vanessa replied that it is a crazy life concept to have a show made about ones grandparents and their lives.
On Tuesday, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts nominated Vanessa Kirby for best leading actress for her role in Pieces of a Woman.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed some shocking truths about the Royal Family and the firm that runs it in their recent interview to Oprah Winfrey on Sunday. The interview reaffirmed the beliefs of how Meghan was attacked for being biracial by the British tabloids and how she was not protected by the Royal family even when she admitted that her mental health was suffering.
