Actor Kunal Kapoor-starrer Veeram opened the first BRICS Film Festival at capital New Delhi on September 2.
The festival, which is part of the special events planned in the runup to the 8th BRICS Summit being held in India, concludes today.
A trilingual period drama, "Veeram" is an adaptation of legendary poet Shakespeare's classic “Macbeth”. The movie has been shot in three different languages -- Hindi, English and Malayalam -- simultaneously.
We spoke to actor Kunal Kapoor and actress Divina Thackur (who plays Lady Macbeth) and both shared details about the challenges they faced during the shoot, Kunal's training in martial arts and how excited and honoured they were to be a part of the BRICS film festival.
Both the actors also shared some memories of one of India's biggest festivals, Ganesh Chaturthi.
