New Delhi: A model, dancer, actress, assistant choreographer; Daisy Shah is indeed a complete package. Having started her career as an assistant choreographer, Daisy Shah has come a long way and been featured in a couple of Bollywood films ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘Hate Story 3’. In an exclusive interview with IBNLive.com, Daisy Shah speaks about her journey so far.

She feels that the entire dance sequence ‘Naacho re’ in ‘Jai ho’, which was her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan made people believe that ‘Daisy is actually a good dancer’ and that ‘she isn’t lying about coming from a choreography background.’

The recent release ‘Hate Story 3’, however does not offer Daisy an opportunity to showcase her dance moves. But is she miffed about that? Mot really for she is content for having ‘shown that side’ of hers to the audience.

‘Hate Story 3’, an erotic thriller, features Daisy as a strong headed businesswoman. When asked about her new look, Daisy said, “It was really tough. Initially, I was skeptical of doing it. This wasn’t because I was scared of doing it but because I was scared whether I’ll be able to pull this role off or not. I didn’t want my character to look fake on the camera.”

The actress credited her director and co-stars for everything going well on the sets and referred to her shoot days as a ‘swift shoot.’

She feels a movie’s quality is decided from how good the director is. “Vishal is a great guy to work with. He is very thorough with his homework. He knows what he wants, where he wants and how he wants.”

Daisy believes she and Sharman Joshi are similar in many ways that can not only be summed up with good qualities but bad too. “We don’t talk much, we’re both introverts,” she said. Of all the things she appreciate about Sharman, the fact that he always sees a scope of improvement in every scene impresses Daisy the most.

While talking about her co-star Karan Singh Grover, she started with an ‘Oh god’ expression and elaborated it by saying, “He’s that naughty, he’s a ‘mastikhor’ on the sets. But he made sure that the environment on the sets was very light even while shooting for the intense scenes.”

She not only told us about Karan being a talkative, happy-go-lucky boy, but also revealed about his fascination for oats and chicken, beat boxing and his singing talent . “He only eats oats and chicken. I could not even go and tell him that let’s go and have dinner”, she added.
