The Covid-19 pandemic has upended normal life in unimaginable ways. As we remain confined to our homes and forced to follow strict social distancing protocol, many tasks are now off limits, or possible only with extreme precautions. One such class of activities now severely restricted are home décor and renovation projects, which invariably require outside assistance and personnel. Lack of standardized safety protocols and concern for their family’s well-being has convinced most consumers to put off home beautification to a later date.
But with the pandemic showing little signs of abating, the industry has had to adapt. And it fell to India’s largest paint company, Asian Paints, to show the way. They have begun offering ‘Safe Painting’ services in select cities across the country*. It is a complete painting regime which follows the best safety practices and mechanized painting techniques to create a safe work environment for painters, while also keeping occupants of the house safe from infections.
Asian Paints’ concern for the safety of their customers and applicators is the true inspiration behind this campaign. These heart-warming ads will tell you all you need to know about Asian Paints’ ‘Safe Painting’ service. Checks them out below.
Precautions related to ‘Safe Painting’ are set in motion even before the first coat of paint has been applied, beginning with a site evaluation.
Dust-free mechanized painting techniques are used which not only mean a better finish, but also means fewer people required to complete the same task. The ‘Safe Painting’ personnel come equipped with all the necessary safety equipment, including full body suits, and are also supervised by a dedicated Asian Paints supervisor. At the end of their assignment, Asian Paints’ ‘Safe Painting’ dictates a complete sanitization of the applicators and the home itself, including removal of debris and application of disinfectants to ensure zero chance of contamination and transmission.
The ‘Safe Painting’ service is just one of Asian Paints’ many initiatives to alleviate the difficulties imposed by the Covid-19 lockdown. The company has been extremely proactive in leveraging its corporate muscle to deliver a sense of hope and normalcy to people. Besides donating nearly INR 35 crores to PM Cares Fund and various CM funds across states, Asian Paints recently also sponsored a new anthem dedicated to heroes of the pandemic, called One Nation One Voice. It did as much to lift our spirits, as a freshly painted, beautiful home would.*Conditions apply. The ‘Safe Painting’ services are currently available in around 500 cities including metros.
