India’s most populated state Uttar Pradesh had a full Immunisation coverage of just 51% in 2016.

India’s most populated state Uttar Pradesh had a full Immunisation coverage of just 51% in 2016 - which meant 5 out of 10 children were not protected from deadly communicable diseases. Poverty, illiteracy and resistance to vaccine were some of the main reasons why U.P. struggled to protect her children.

Network18 and Serum Institute of India’s awareness campaign, Swasth Immunised India, travels to Bahraich - India’s second worst performing district - along with the state’s top Immunisation officers to understand the ground reality for 23 crore people of the state. #SwasthImmunisedIndia
