Maurya claimed that in 2022, BJP will once again form the government in UP with a strong majority and will win more than 300 seats.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya on Wednesday took a dig at Samajwadi Party’s (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav, saying that the former CM of the state was daydreaming to form government in 2022. Maurya claimed that in 2022, BJP will once again form the government in UP with a strong majority and will win more than 300 seats.

“Now Gundaraj is not going to return to the country. If someone has this illusion, then he should not be confused. Akhilesh Yadav lost in 2014. Also in 2017. After that he fought the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in alliance with Mayawati and he was also defeated in that. Now they are dreaming once again. If someone wants to dream, then it’s their problem,” Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said while speaking at Rising Uttar Pradesh program of News18.

Responding to Akhilesh Yadav’s allegation that Yogi government was inaugurating the works of the previous SP government, Maurya said, “There were more than 100 such projects which were pending with the SP government. Now our government is completing it. If Akhilesh wants, I can send that list. Akhilesh Yadav makes such rhetoric to remain in the discussion.”

“They only tweet on Twitter, do not go out among the public. There are two such leaders in the state who tweet, one of them is Akhilesh Yadav and the other one is Priyanka Gandhi Vadra,” he added.

Speaking on the 2022 assembly elections to be held in West Bengal, Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the BJP will cross the figure of more than 200 seats. “Democracy has been hijacked in Bengal today. Our workers are being murdered. False cases are being written. The public is watching and will answer in the elections,” he added.
