Kolkata: Narada sting operation has led to the toughest challenge for Mamata Banerjee ever since she became West Bengal Chief Minister in 2011.

Conducted by Narada News, a private channel, the sting claims to expose corruption among the ministers in the state government. The sting was conducted under the supervision of Narada News founder Mathew Samuel over a period of two years. Here is a quick recap of all that has happened so far:

- Ahead of the 2016 Assembly polls in West Bengal, Narada News released videos showing 13 Trinamool ministers and party leaders accepting bribe in return of favours/misusing official positions

- A major embarrassment for the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the sting videos were released at a time when TMC leaders were already under attack for their alleged involvement in Saradha chit-fund scam

- On March 17, 2017, Calcutta High Court ordered a preliminary probe by CBI. The court also directed the CBI to register an FIR against those who were involved in the case, if required

- On April 17, CBI has filed charge sheet against all 13 TMC leaders under Section 120 B of IPC (criminal conspiracy), Section 13 (2), 13 (1D) and Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act

- Now, CBI will form a special investigation team for further probe and all those who have been named in the charge sheet will be summoned for questioning
