BJP to Take Part in Birthday Bash of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust Chief

The trust spearheads Vishwa Hindu Parishad's campaign for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Reviving the call for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing for a big push before the 2017 Uttar Pradesh elections.

The party will take part in the week-long celebration in Ayodhya from June 10 onwards to mark the birth anniversary of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust chief Nritya Gopal Das.

The trust spearheads Vishwa Hindu Parishad's campaign for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

This is the first time Nritya Gopal Das's birthday celebrations is being held on such a large scale.

Top BJP leaders have been invited for the event. Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma and Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik are expected to be a part of the celebrations.

The Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas was founded as an independent trust by the VHP in 1993 to take charge of the disputed site and oversee construction of the proposed temple.
