The incident prompted the election officials to swing into action with Gujarat Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) S Murali Krishna asking the Returning Officer (RO) to file a report and said that action will be taken against erring officials as carrying electronic gadgets inside polling centers is prohibited.

The result for Jasdan, largely a rural constituency, will be announced on December 23.
