BJP's Big MCD Push: Heavyweights to Campaign For Key Party Candidates

BJP's high-octave campaign in Delhi will feature all prominent faces of the ruling party.

New Delhi: BJP plans to leave no stone unturned to make its presence felt ahead of the upcoming MCD elections. The incumbent party will put all its strength in the week running up to the April 23rd MCD polls. 70 public meetings in 70 constituencies are lined up in the next one week to give a big boost to BJP's candidates in all 272 wards.

The high-octave campaign will feature all prominent faces of the ruling party. BJP National President Amit Shah will himself hold campaign rallies on 19th-20th April. Newly appointed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also likely to join Shah in the last phase of campaigning.

Union Ministers Jitender Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, Sanjeev Balyan, Vinay Sahastrabudhi have been assigned on MCD duty and have been holding public meetings and campaigning for key BJP candidates across the national capital.

All the top minister including Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Harshvardhan, Vijay Goel and others will join the party's big push for Delhi's civic polls. A series of 'Rath Yatras' painted in Saffron colours, public meetings and door to door campaigns have also been planned out. These campaigns will be lead by Delhi BJP Chief Manoj Tiwari.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar are also on the star campaigner's list.
