Congress leaders mum on Bihar elections result, will speak only after November 8 outcome
If one goes by the exit poll, then there is a neck and neck fight between the Mahagathbandhan and NDA.

With just a day to go for the bitterly fought Bihar Assembly elections results, the Congress is maintaining a stony silence on the outcome and its fallout. The Congress fought the election on 41 seats out of 243 in alliance with Janata Dal United and Rashtriya Janata Dal.

Senior Congress leaders refused to comment on the outcome saying they are waiting for the result on November 8.

"The results of this election will have a bearing on the national platform and will set the tone for the upcoming elections. The elections saw a contest between a chief minister and the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi was campaigning extensively in the state and it seemed there was no other BJP leader," said senior Congress leader CP Joshi.

Both AICC spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala and former defence minister AK Antony refused to comment and will present their views only after results. "In life and politics, one should never pre-judge," said Surjewala.

On the other hand, senior leaders Sanjay Jha and Shakeel Ahmad were unavailable for comments.

The Bihar campaign witnessed both the JDU-RJD-Congress Mahagathbandhan and Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance stooping to a new low and using personal remarks to target the other.

As Congress lost one state after another since 2013 Delhi Assembly elections and managed to win just 44 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha, the result will also decide the fate of Congress for the upcoming elections and on national platform.

If one goes by the exit poll, then there is a neck and neck fight between the Mahagathbandhan and NDA.
