Bhopal: On International Yoga Day, the Madhya Pradesh Congress did ‘shavasana’ in order to protest against killing of farmers in Mandsaur.

The Congress leaders, led by state head Arun Yadav, reached Pradesh Congress Committee where a pavilion was erected for the protest yoga. The stage adjacent to the pavilion had pictures of six farmers killed during farmers’ protest and other pictures narrating the plight of the peasants.

By using posters and hoardings, the party took pot shots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

“We also performed yoga and paid tributes to the dead farmers,” said Congress state president Arun Yadav.

Retaliating to the Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party state head Nandkumar Singh Chauhan after performing yoga with party men at Lal Parade ground claimed that “the Congress party has been in a coma for the last ten years.”
