Bangalore: Karnataka Governor HR Bhardwaj has expressed dissatisfaction over state PWD minister Dr HC Mahadevappa spending Rs 2.5 crore on the renovation of his house. Governor has told Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that he should not have allowed such lavish spending.

He said that the government must focus on providing clean drinking water across the state in the summer and should not splurge money on luxury. He advised the chief minister to rein in such ministers.

KPCC president Dr G Parameshwara has also expressed dissatisfaction over the huge money spent on the renovation of PWD minister's bungalow.

The opposition BJP and JDS are demanding that the chief minister should sack the PWD minister for spending crores on his house renovation and neglecting repair of roads across the state.
