Bhopal: A week before Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address massive 'Kisan Sammelan' in Sherpura in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh, farmers are reportedly upset with him. They claim that the local administration forced them to cut their unripe crop to create a parking lot for Modi's rally.

The opposition is certainly not going to miss the opportunity to hit out at the government and use the controversy to their advantage.

Vipin Parmer, an affected farmer said, "They forced us to cut crop prematurely. This crop would now be sold in the market at cheaper price."

The local administraion has vehemently denied the charge

Sudam Khode, Sehore District Magistrate said, "It's wrong to say so as the administration has more than 150 acre government land which is sufficient for the program."

Sensing political hailstorm before Prime Minister's rally for his pet project crop insurance scheme, the state government claims that no diktat has been forced upon the farmers.

MP Home Minister Babulal Gaur said, "No farmer has been forced to cut their crop."
