Focusing on Assembly Elections 2022, Congress has decided to set up a training camp for the block presidents in districts of the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. Party’s General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also join the camp virtually and give success mantras to party workers and leaders.
The two-day training will be given to 155 block presidents of 11 districts, beginning on March 13, 14 at Gola Bazar, Gorakhpur. The Congress state president Ajay Kumar Lallu will also participate in the camp.
In an attempt to strengthen the party at an organizational level, Congress is constantly making efforts to connect people from rural areas ahead of 2022 assembly polls. In the two Nyaya Panchayats of the district, State President Ajay Kumar Lallu himself met the officials. The former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi also believed in empowering gram panchayats.
The meeting will be attended by the presidents of Varanasi, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Basti districts. All the block presidents will be present during this camp and along with empowering Congress leaders at the ideological level, the history of the Congress, the role of the party in nation-building, the work of all the Prime Ministers of the party will be discussed, general secretary Vishwavijaya Singh said.
