172. Hatpipliya is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Dewas (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Hatpipliya falls in Dewas district and Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.

There are a total of 1,86,760 voters in the seat, which includes 96,475 male voters, and 90,280 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Hatpipliya recorded a voter turnout of 85.38%. In 2013 the turnout was 80.39%, and in 2008 it was 75.9%.
