47. Khargapur is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Tikamgarh (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Khargapur falls in Tikamgarh district and Vindhya Pradesh region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.

There are a total of 2,18,334 voters in the seat, which includes 1,16,044 male voters, and 1,02,289 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Khargapur recorded a voter turnout of 72.94%. In 2013 the turnout was 68.67%, and in 2008 it was 66.8%.
