Parliament proceedings may be interrupted again on Tuesday as the opposition plans to step up its attack on the government. On Monday, six Opposition MPs were suspended from the Lok Sabha for five days on the ground of "highly unbecoming" conduct after they tore up official papers and threw them on the Speaker during a protest over lynchings.​

Six Cong MPs suspended from LS for causing "grave disorder"

Six Congress members were suspended from the Lok Sabha for five days by Speaker Sumitra Mahajan for causing "grave disorder" by storming the Well, tearing papers and throwing them towards the Chair during their protests over the lynching issue.

Ordering their suspension amid noisy protests by Congress members and counter-slogans of "shame, shame" from the BJP benches, the Speaker said the conduct of Gaurav Gogoi, K Suresh, Adhir Rajan Chowdhury, Ranjeet Ranjan, Sushmita Dev and M K Raghavan was "highly unbecoming" and had undermined the Chair's dignity

Shortly after Speaker Sumitra Mahajan suspended six Congress MPs from the House, She said She was "deeply hurt" over the conduct of Congress MPs in the House and that she had only asked them to raise the lynching issue after Question Hour.
