167. Shajapur is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Dewas (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Shajapur falls in Shajapur district and Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.

There are a total of 2,21,139 voters in the seat, which includes 1,14,505 male voters, and 1,06,626 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Shajapur recorded a voter turnout of 82.85%. In 2013 the turnout was 81.86%, and in 2008 it was 82.71%.
