170. Sonkatch is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Dewas (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Sonkatch falls in Dewas district and Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.

There are a total of 2,10,435 voters in the seat, which includes 1,09,491 male voters, and 1,00,943 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Sonkatch recorded a voter turnout of 84.17%. In 2013 the turnout was 80.2%, and in 2008 it was 77.75%.
