Birmingham: Top seed Lee Chong Wei reached the men's singles final with a victory over Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in the semifinals of the All England badminton championships here on Saturday.

Lee, a three-time winner, fought back from one game down to beat the 27-year-old Chou 10-21, 21-14, 21-9.

The Malaysian super star will now take on either Shi Yuqi in the summit clash after he beat defending champion Lin Dan in a close encounter.

The man regarded as the greatest player of all time — Lin Dan — briefly held two game points at 20-18 in the first game against the unseeded Shi, before slipping quietly away to a 24-22, 21-10 defeat.
