Bolton, Blackburn win in battle of relegation foes
While Bolton beat QPR 2-1, Blackburn got the better of Wolves 2-0.

Bolton: Substitute Ivan Klasnic grabbed a late winner as Bolton beat relegation rival Queens Park Rangers, while Aston Villa ended Fulham's three-match winning streak and Blackburn climbed away from the drop zone with a potentially crucial win at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Bolton Wanderers 2 - 1 Queens Park Rangers

Bolton got the better of QPR 2-1 in a match that will reignite the ongoing debate over goal-line technology.

The Croatia striker scored in the 85th minute to lift Bolton out of the bottom three and leave the visitors aggrieved after they were denied a 20th-minute goal, with the score at 0-0, when Clint Hill's header clearly crossed the line.

Midfielder Darren Pratley's header gave Bolton the lead in the 37th before French striker Djibril Cisse, returning from a three-match suspension, equalised two minutes after the break.

The result sees Bolton leapfrog QPR in the standings and the London club drop into the relegation zone with 10 matches left, continuing their poor run of results under manager Mark Hughes since he replaced Neil Warnock who was fired in January.

Aston Villa 1 - 0 Fulham

Fulham's winning run ended at Aston Villa with a 1-0 defeat.

Fulham had surged up the standings with wins over Stoke, QPR and Wolverhampton Wanderers but the west London side conceded a last-minute goal to Andreas Weimann.

The Cottagers had lost midfielder Danny Murphy at halftime after the captain took a blow to the head and almost conceded in the 61st when Marc Albrighton hit the bar with a rising shot.

Weimann clinched Villa's first win in seven matches with his first ever goal for the club.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 0 - 2 Blackburn Rovers

Junior Hoilett scored both goals as Blackburn climbed away from the relegation zone beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0.

Hoilett's athletic first-time shot after a long throw by Morten Gamst Pedersen was flicked on, which gave the visitors the lead just before halftime.

The Canadian-born striker got his second in the 69th minute when he picked up Yakubu's pass and fired in from 25 yards.

Wolves struggled to create chances against a resolute Blackburn defence, which kept its first clean sheet of the season in the Premier League.

The win moved Blackburn up to 16th, three points clear of the relegation zone, while Wolves dropped down a place to 19th.
