Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson revealed that he tried cupping therapy for the first time and said he enjoyed the experience.

Hollywood actor and former pro wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has found a new way to take care of his body. The hunk revealed that he tried cupping therapy for the first time and going by the photos, it wasn’t such a bad experience.

Johnson recently tried out the ancient Chinese alternative medicine therapy of cupping and shared the dramatic results with his 220 million strong followers on Instagram on Tuesday. Cupping is an alternative therapy where heated suction cups are placed on the skin and causes the skin to rise and redden due to expansion of blood vessels.

He showed off a bizarre photo from his maiden session. The actor looks shocked as he snapped a photo of his heavily marked up back. However, due to his massive size, the actor seemed to require some of the largest suction cups, as his cup-marks were quite big.

However, the star made sure to clarify to his fans that appearances can be deceiving, and the technique was quite enjoyable. ‘Looks more gnarly than it feels, but overall I enjoyed the therapy,’ he wrote to his fans. ‘We only get one body, so we gotta take care of it,’ he added.

His latest cupping post raked in more than four lakh likes and several hundred user/fan comments. Most of them used emojis to express their delight. While few others referred to the therapy known as ‘hijama’ in middle east cultures, and it has been practiced for thousands of years.
