Guillermo Garcia-Lopez beats Marcos Baghdatis to reach Zagreb Indoors final

Third-seeded Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain defeated Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus 6-4, 6-4 to reach Zagreb Indoors final on Saturday.

Zagreb: Third-seeded Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain defeated Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus 6-4, 6-4 to reach Zagreb Indoors final on Saturday.

Garcia-Lopez will face either Andreas Seppi of Italy or fellow Spaniard Marcel Granollers on Sunday. It will be his seventh career final and the first since winning in Casablanca last year.

Garcia-Lopez beat Baghdatis for the third time in as many outings. Baghdatis was appearing in his first ATP semifinal since Brisbane in January 2013, but he could not muster enough pressure.

He took a 2-0 lead in the first set but was quickly broken back, and dropped his serve again at 4-4.

In the second set, the Spaniard broke for 5-4 and served out.

"After I broke back in the beginning of the first set I found very good rhythm," Garcia-Lopez said. "I am very happy to be in the final."
