Raiders Place RT Trent Brown Back On COVID-19 List

The Las Vegas Raiders have placed right tackle Trent Brown back on the COVID19 list for a second time this season.

HENDERSON, Nev.: The Las Vegas Raiders have placed right tackle Trent Brown back on the COVID-19 list for a second time this season.

The Raiders made the move Thursday because Brown still has complications from the illness after a positive test last month.

Brown missed one game following his positive test but was set to return last week. He then got sent to the hospital just before the game following a reported IV mishap. He rejoined the team on Wednesday, but now is back on the COVID-19 list.

Brown has played at least 10 offensive snaps in only 11 of 23 games since signing a $66 million, four-year deal with the Raiders in March 2019.

The Raiders were also without running back Josh Jacobs and safety Johnathan Abram at practice on Thursday because of illnesses. Abram also missed practice on Wednesday but Jacobs was new to the injury report.

The Raiders did get first-round rookie cornerback Damon Arnette back at practice Thursday. Arnette went on injured reserve after hurting his wrist and thumb in a Week 3 loss at New England. The Raiders have 21 days to activate Arnette or send him back to IR.

Its exciting to have him back, defensive coordinator Paul Guenther said. Obviously, he started off real hot here early in camp and was in the starting lineup for us the first couple ballgames. Hes going to be a really good player. Hes just got to get his feet back under him.

Las Vegas also promoted running back Theo Riddick from the practice squad to the active roster. Riddick had two carries for 13 yards in Week 4 against Buffalo in his only action this season.

NOTES: S Jeff Heath (hip), DT Maurice Hurst (ankle), T Kolton Miller (ankle) and DE Arden Key (foot) all missed practice for a second straight day. … CB Trayvon Mullen was added to the injury report with a hamstring injury and was limited. … WR Bryan Edwards (foot, ankle) was a full participant and is on target to return this week for the first time since getting hurt in Week 3.
