Juventus vs Tottenham

A perfect match up between attack and defence as high-flying Spurs will travel to Turin to lock horns against last year’s finalists Juventus. Riding on Harry Kane’s 6 goals in 5 matches in the competition, Spurs will look to get a positive result from the home of Italian Giants, who have conceded just one goal in their last 16 matches. A cause of concern for Juve will be that star striker Paulo Dybala missed the Fiorentina game due to a hamstring injury and they will be hopeful that he is fit for the Spurs game.

Basel vs Manchester City

With the kind of form that Manchester City are in, it is difficult to predict anything other than a victory for the runaway Premier League leaders over Basel. Although, Basel boasts of a win over Manchester United this term, but City has proven time and time again this season that they are operating on a different level altogether.

Porto vs Liverpool

Liverpool will be playing their first Champions League Knockout game after. A huge gap of nine years and they will be up against Portuguese giants FC Porto. The Reds scored an impressive 23 goals in the group stage and manager Juergen Klopp will be hopeful of another good outing against Porto, who don’t enjoy a good record against English sides - 8 wins, 8 losses and 18 losses.

Real Madrid vs Paris Saint Germain

Easily the biggest tie of the round of 16 stage. It’s unfortunate for both sets of fans that they will be up against each other so early in the tournament as they could have very well contested the final. Two-time defending champions Real Madrid will host title-favourites PSG at home in the first leg of the tie. Some of the biggest stars of the world are set to collide in this match but two players are set to dominate all the limelight - Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar. Will so many rumours linking Neymar to Madrid, this tie can be seen as an audition for the Brazilian wonder kid in front of the Bernanbeu faithful.

Meanwhile, a loss for either of the two teams will have large scale implications on the team management. While on one hand, Zinedine Zidane is going through immense pressure after forfeiting the league and crashing out of the cup on the back of some unbelievably poor performances. While PSG have made is clear to Unai Emery that they want to reign supreme in Europe and anything less than that will be unacceptable.
