Kidambi Srikanth continued his good form, and registered a 25-23, 21-17 win over compatriot Sai Praneeth in the quarter-final of the Australian Open Super Series on Friday.

The Indian duo, who train in the same academy under Gopichand fought tooth and nail in the first game, with Sai Praneeth dragging Srikanth to a tie breaker where the latter prevailed after a close contest.

This seemed to have boosted Srikanth's morale as he upped his game a notch in the second game, and looked totally dominant to take win it, and also the match.

Srikanth came into the game with back-to-back wins over World No.1 Son Wan Ho, first in the semifinals of Indonesia Open last week and then once again in the clash yesterday, beating him 15-21 21-13 21-13 in a 57-minute clash.
