With less than a fortnight to go for WWE’s next Pay-per-view, WWE Fastlane, the latest episode of Monday Night RAW was all about laying the foundation for the PPV. The show kicked off with The Miz complaining how unfair it was on WWE’s part to force him into a title defense despite feeling under the weather, not once but twice. Which eventually led to a rematch for the WWE title. Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon’s tiff continued as the Monster among Men demanded an apology from Shane. This feud is probably going to lead to a match between these two either at Fastlane or at WrestleMania 37. Meanwhile, Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton’s feud continued with the former again interfering during Orton’s match.
Monday Night RAW Results in full:
WWE Championship- Bobby Lashley (c) def. The Miz: The champion dominated The Miz right from the beginning of the match as he dropped Miz with a big vertical suplex. Lashley continued to toy with his opponent slamming Miz with a huge Spinebuster and then locking in the Hurt Lock to force the tap and retain his title.
Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus: The tension between the two Scottish powerhouses continued this week as well as they got involved in an extremely physical No Disqualification match. McIntyre attacked Sheamus before the match began but Sheamus made a comeback with a low blow. McIntyre then cut off his opponent’s momentum as he attacked with kendo stick shots. The to-and-fro action continued and the action spilt outside the ring. Then both men hoisted the steel stairs overhead and ran at each other, colliding like freight trains that almost knocked them unconscious. The referee called off the match and requested medical assistance.
AJ Styles def. Randy Orton: This match was not on the cards but a backstage altercation led to the ‘WrestleMania Calibre’ fight. Orton controlled the match right from the word go as he punished the Phenomenal One. Styles made a comeback into the match thanks to Omos and then started working over Orton. He trapped Orton in a headlock, but the Viper fought back and jarred Styles with a backbreaker. Orton was all set to deliver an RKO but Omos pulled Styles out of the ring. The arena became engulfed in pink and Bliss appeared on the video screen. She lit a match, igniting flames from the ring post and causing Orton to ‘vomit black’ again. Styles then hit a Phenomenal Forearm for the pinfall victory.

Riddle def. Slapjack via pinfall
