Amazon.in Reveals High Demand For Healthcare Devices

Amazon.in has also seen a growing demand for activity trackers indicating that there is a substantial increase in the number of people who take their health & fitness seriously.

On the occasion of World Health Day today, Amazon.in revealed that their healthcare devices category is observing a huge demand. According to Amazon.in younger generation is taking health & fitness seriously and have played an active role by educating elders about the need for healthcare devices especially by gifting them to their parents.

Amazon.in’s Healthcare devices category has seen demand from across the country and has grown over 150 percent year on year. Most of the demand is driven by tier 1 metropolitan cities as the urban lifestyle is leading to a lot of health issues like hypertension and diabetes. Some of the top selling products in the category are blood glucose monitors, fitness trackers, massagers and blood pressure monitors.

Amazon.in has also seen a growing demand for activity trackers indicating that there is a substantial increase in the number of people who take their health & fitness seriously. This segment has grown 125 percent in the last one year. Amazon.in offers a range of selection in healthcare devices covering top brands and products such as the new Fitbit ALTA HR, Omron Blood Pressure Monitor and Johnson & Johnson Glucometers.

Customers in India are looking at Health from all aspects beyond nutrition & hygiene. They are increasingly adopting fitness regimes either by working out in gyms or taking up various sports. Treadmills & Exercise wheels have also seen a very healthy growth in gym equipment.
