ColorWare has started selling the retro edition Apple iPhone 7 Plus that features a multi-colour retro logo. The vintage limited edition model has started retailing in the United States even as the new iPhone 8 launch is only a few months away.
The Retro iPhone 7 Plus is basically a regular unlocked 256GB black iPhone 7 Plus, which costs $969. ColorWare, the company that specialises in creating custom skins and designs, has added its 'Retro' paint job on top for an additional $930 for a total of $1,899.
The iPhone 7 Plus, with the multicoloured Apple rainbow logo at the back and the dark beige edge stripes, look gorgeous.
According to a report: The first 25 of the Retro iPhones will come with a "number of authenticity" for a boost of exclusivity. The iPhone 7 Plus with 256GB storage currently retails for $969 (or roughly Rs 63,448) in the United States.
ColorWare’s custom Vintage variant will cost $1,899 (or roughly Rs 1,24,342).
Meanwhile, the official announcement read: “Colorware is pleased to announce the iPhone 7 Plus Retro Edition. If you love the vintage look of the original 1980’s Mac then why not have it on your phone! Great attention to detail is given to this fully painted iPhone.”
If the price is kept aside, the iPhone 7 Plus Retro edition is probably the nicest-looking custom iPhone ever been made.
Other specifications of the iPhone 7 Plus remain the same - a 5.5-inch FHD display, 3GB RAM, dual-cameras, a 7-megapixel front-facing snapper and an all-new A10 Fusion processor with embedded M10 motion co-processor along with iOS 10.
The iPhone 7 Plus Retro Edition also includes EarPods, a Lightning to USB Cable, a USB Power Adapter, along with documentation in the box.
