In just two months from now Apple is all set to launch the next iPhone. And in all probability it will be named iPhone 7. Samsung has already ditched the Note 6 and will be launching the Galaxy Note 7 on August 2.

Here's all that's expected out of the next iPhone from Apple.

When is the launch?

Apple, like all its iPhones in the past will be launching the iPhone 7 in the month of September 2016. The launch is expected to happen in the third week of September this year at Apple's annual event.

What's New?

For starters, if rumours are to be believed the iPhone 7 will look almost similar to the iPhone 6s. The design lines will remain the same but the rear of the phone will get a much more clean look than what you see on the iPhone 6s.

There are no hints as to whether Apple will have an edge-to-edge display on the iPhone 7, but a sharper display will be seen on the iPhone 7. There is a possibility that Apple will get a QHD or a 4K display on the next iPhone.

Released at WWDC 2016, iOS10 will power the new phone and you will get Apple's 3D-touch technology on the iPhone 7. There is also a possibility that Apple will get a new hexa-core processor for the iPhone 7 that will be backed by 3GB RAM.

Knowing Apple's seamless software and hardware experience this will be an even more powerful iPhone than the iPhone SE and iPhone 6s.

Apple might not give the camera an upgrade on the iPhone 7. The new iPhone is expected to have a similar 12-megapixel sensor seen on the iPhone 6s. The only difference might be that the iPhone 7's camera will get optical image stabalisation.

Leaked reports do not suggest that the next iPhone will sport a dual-lens camera. The iPhone 7 is also going to be more slim than the iPhone 6s. That does not leave much scope for a bump in the battery department of iPhone 7.

There might be a new home button on the iPhone 7 with pressure sensors and also wireless charging capabilities.

Apple iPhone 7 Rivals?

Apple iPhone 7 is one of the most anticipated smartphones to launch in 2016. It's a phone to look out for as companies like Samsung have already launched their flagship phones for the year.

The Apple iPhone 7 will compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7, Note 7 and the LG G5.
