However, acquiring the Rs 501 smartphone isn't easy as only registered users are eligible for its flash sale. The phone is available only on Cash on Delivery.

Currently, the registration is closed and according to the website, there are some technical issues which are preventing new registrations. The device will go on a flash sale on September 2, 2016.

According to a media report, the phone's price of Rs 501 is currently only for sales promotion and afterwards it will be available for its original price of around Rs 8000.
