Gionee has added another variant to its A1 series by launching the new Gionee A1 Lite today. After the MWC 2017 unveiling of its two brethren, the Gionee A1 and the Gionee A1 Plus, the ‘Lite’ version comes as a toned down variant of the Gionee A1 family.

Reports indicate that the smartphone has been launched in Nepal as of now and sports a 5.3-inch HD display with a 2.5D curved glass protection. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 processor and comes with a 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 64GB.

With a standard Gionee design, the Gionee A1 Lite sports a fingerprint sensor on its back and runs on Amigo 4.0 based Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone is also powered by a 4,000 mAh battery.

On the camera front, the Gionee A1 Lite comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and a dual-LED flash. The phone is, however, selfie focussed and hence carries a front camera with a 20-megapixel sensor and the same aperture as in the primary one.

The Gionee A1 Lite has been priced at Nepalese Rupee 26,999 (~Rs 16,900) and will come with 4G support. When launched in India, the Gionee A1 Lite would surely be a good addition to the budget smartphone segment in the country.
