Huawei's sub-brand Honor is all set to launch the successor of its Honor 7 smartphone in India this September. The Honor 8 will be the flagship offering by Honor in India for 2016. September is a busy month for many smartphone manufacturers in India as they want to capitalise on the festive season that starts from October.
Huawei recently launched it's Leica camera based flagship smartphone in India, the Huawei P9 and the company is all set to launch the flagship for the Honor series as well.
Honor 8 is a smartphone that's stylish with a glass back panel and sports a 5.2-inch display upfront. The phone is expected to be launched in India with Huawei's own Kirin 950 octa-core processor that will be backed by 4GB RAM.
The smartphone will also have an NFC chip and a USB Type-C port. The internal storage that the Honor 8 will offer will be 32GB that will be expandable via a microSD card. The device will also sport a fingerprint sensor.
Just like the Huawei P9, the Honor 8 will also sport a dual-lens setup with 12-megapixel camera and for selfies it will offer a 8-megapixel camera. The phone will run on Android Marshmallow operating system and will come loaded with the company's own Emotion UI 4.1 interface.
The device is expected to launch by the last week of September 2016 and we expect it to be priced below Rs 30,000.
