Huawei has introduced another budget smartphone in its portfolio and is calling it the Huawei Y5 Prime (2018). As of now, the company has only unveiled the specifications of the smartphone on its website and has not mentioned its price or availability. The listing of the Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) on the official website of Huawei hints that the device might be up for sale soon. Judging from the specifications of the smartphone, which are more or less similar to the recently launched Honor 7 Plus, the Huawei Y5 Prime is expected to be priced around the Rs 7,000 mark.

Huawei has listed two different variants of the Huawei Y5 Prime, with one of them offering a single SIM connectivity while the other offering a dual SIM support. The device will be available in three colour variants - Blue, Black and Gold.

Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) Specifications

The smartphone sports a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a 1440x720 pixels resolution and carries a 2GB RAM and a 16GB inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 256GB. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo on with Huawei's own EMUI on top. As for its optics, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter at the front. The device also supports Face Unlock which will be rolled out in future updates by Huawei.

Connectivity options on the Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) include 4G LTE, GPS, A-GPS, and Glonass. The device is powered by a 3020mAh battery that also supports Power Saving 6.0 technology.

The Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) weighs 142 grams and measures 146.5x70.9x8.3 mm.
