Motorola has launched its new device Moto Z3 Play, the smartphone comes just one year after the Moto Z2 Play and pioneers the new Z3 series. The USP of the Moto Z series the Moto Mods support and the same continues with the Moto Z3 Play. The Moto Mods can be stuck to the back of the phone with the help of the magnetic pins. Motorola has already created an ecosystem of Moto Mods ranging from speakers to cameras.

The Moto Z3 Play offers a 6.01-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p HD+ and 18:9 aspect ratio. It has a 79% screen-to-body display ratio thanks to the minimized bezels. At the heart of the phone, there’s the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform, mated with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion.

In terms of optics, the Moto Z3 Play has dual rear cameras at its back- a primary 12MP sensor is paired to a 5MP depth sensor. Up front, the company has added an 8MP shooter. The Moto Z3 Play also offers Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, a 3000mAh battery, a USB-C port for charging and splash resistance.

Moto Z3 Play will cost $499 (or approx Rs 33,380) and is set to go on sale this summer. Motorola will open up sales of the Moto Z3 Play in Brazil today, and the phone will roll out globally starting this month. In the US, the phone will be sold through Sprint and US Cellular, as well as at major retailers. There’s no information on the Moto Z3 Play’s availability for the Indian market.
