The new OnePlus 5T celebrates the upcoming edition of the Star Wars series, ‘Star Wars – The Last Jedi’, due to launch worldwide on December 15. The launch event, which was also live streamed online on the official OnePlus YouTube channel, saw Szymon Kopec – OnePlus Product Manager talking about the upgrades that the 5T carries over the OnePlus 5 and the kind of reactions that the smartphone has got from the industry since its New York launch on November 16. The limited edition OnePlus 5T will go on sale starting December 15 at 00:01 hrs, exclusively on Amazon India and OnePlus online store. Apart from this, the smartphone will also be showcased at the company’s pop-up stores in nine cities including Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore and Kochi, on December 16 and 17.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition carries little design tweaks related to the upcoming Star Wars movie. The OnePlus 5T - Star Wars Limited Edition will feature a ‘Sandstone White’ coloured back panel with Star Wars branding at the bottom, along with a ‘Red Mineral’ Slider and a White Ceramic fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will also come with a Star Wars software theme, carrying a Black and Red colour mix. OnePlus has also added various Star Wars wallpaper to the limited edition smartphone. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition will also come with a Kylo Ren theme mobile case. All the components will be boxed in a special Star Wars themed box.

As for its specifications, the OnePlus 5T - Star Wars Limited Edition features a 6-inch Full Optic AMOLED display with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and is protected by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. However, the Face Unlock feature does not work with third party Payment apps. OnePlus 5T - Star Wars Limited Edition is powered by Snapdragon 835 Soc and will be available in two storage options - 6GB RAM/64GB internal storage and an 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage option. It runs the latest OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The smartphone is backed by a 3300 mAh battery which also features Dash Charging.

In terms of optics, the OnePlus 5T - Star Wars Limited Edition sports a dual camera setup at the back, which claims to deliver an improved performance in 'Low-light photography' and 'Portrait' images over the OnePlus 5, owing to a larger aperture in its cameras.
