According to a leak that came just hours ahead of the official launch, the OnePlus 9 series will start at a price of Rs 39,999 for the OnePlus 9R, the OnePlus 9 will be priced at Rs 49,999 onwards, while the OnePlus 9 Pro prices will reportedly start at Rs 64,999 in India.

OnePlus is all set to launch its latest OnePlus 9 series today. The OnePlus 9 series will include three smartphones – the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and the OnePlus 9R, which will be limited to the Indian market. Apart from the smartphones, the Chinese smartphone maker will also launch its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch. The launch event will be a virtual one this year as well and will be streamed live on the company’s official YouTube channel, starting at 7:30PM IST today (readers can watch the live stream in the video embedded below as well). The OnePlus 9 series smartphones come with Hassleblad-branded cameras, as OnePlus has partnered with the Swedish brand in order to improve the camera performance on its smartphone. The OnePlus 9 will come with a triple rear camera setup, while the OnePlus 9 Pro will come with quad cameras. There is no word about the pricing details of the OnePlus 9 series yet, but it was recently rumoured to start at a price of Rs 39,999 onwards for the OnePlus 9R – considered the smallest of the lot.

Before this, OnePlus had been teasing some features of the OnePlus 9 series since the past few days. The OnePlus 9 series will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and will come with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate display with LTPO backplane technology. The OnePlus 9 series will also come with 50W fast wireless charging which is claimed to charge the smartphone fully in a matter of just 43 minutes. There will also be a 5-layer gaming-grade cooling system on the OnePlus 9 Pro, in order to keep the temperatures in check during heavy usage. In terms of camera, the OnePlus 9 series will use Sony’s IMX789 lens in its camera module. The camera has been developed in partnership with Hassleblad, in an attempt to make OnePlus emerge as a leader in the smartphone camera space.

OnePlus will also launch the OnePlus 9R alongside the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The existence of the OnePlus 9R was confirmed by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau to us in an interview last week, where the executive said that the OnePlus 9R will be launched specially for the Indian market.

The OnePlus Watch will also be unveiled today. OnePlus’ first smartwatch comes after years of speculations and delays. The company has been teasing the design of the OnePlus Watch since the last few days, without gving much idea about the features and specifications on the wearable device. OnePlus had last week said that the OnePlus Watch will come with a “stunning and burdenless design” that separates itself from the crowd. CEO Pete Lau had recently said that the OnePlus Watch is made from premium materials that have never been seen on a smartwatch before. The OnePlus Watch will come with a circular-shaped dial and will likely come with a heart rate sensor, an SpO2 sensor, among other features. OnePlus said that each OnePlus Watch model is hand polished in order to provide the finish.
