If recent rumours are to be believed, Chinese smartphone maker Xioami may soon be launching the successor to its Mi 6 smartphone. As per a Chinese website, Mi 7 and Mi 7 Plus are on the cards for Xiaomi and are set to make their debut simultaneously sometime around March 2018. It had also been speculated that Xiaomi may launch a plus variant for the Mi 6 this year but due to the lack of availability of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, could not go ahead with the whole idea. As for the current speculations surrounding the smartphones, the Mi 7 and Mi 7 Plus look similar in terms of specifications while carrying different sizes.

As for the specifications, the Mi 7 is expected to carry a 5.8-inch bezel-less AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2560X1440 pixels, topped with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. On the other hand, the Mi 7 Plus is speculated to come with a 6-inch bezel display. Both Mi 7 and 7 Plus would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, the latest smartphone processor offering by Qualcomm, and may carry 6GB of RAM. The smartphones are also rumoured to support wireless charging. The devices are expected to boast dual rear cameras, with a possible combination of 19MP + 19MP sensors, aperture of f/1.7 as well as 4x optical zoom, along with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The Xiaomi Mi 7 is likely to be launched in at least two storage variants.

The Mi 7 and Mi 7 Plus are expected to be backed by 3500mAh battery. Mi 7 might cost around 2699 Yuan which is around Rs 26,000 for the base variant while the Mi 7 Plus Plus variant could be priced around 2999 Yuan which equates to Rs 29,999 approximately.
